Linnworks + Shippo Integration Guide

Introduction

This guide walks you through the process of integrating Shippo with Linnworks to streamline your shipping operations. Whether you're a first-time user or optimizing your workflow, this step-by-step guide covers installation, configuration, label generation, tracking, and more.

Prerequisites

  • Active Linnworks account
  • Active Shippo account
  Note: If you do not have an active Shippo account, you should be able to create one directly from the Linnworks Shippo app.

Integrate Shippo with Linnworks

Step-by-Step:

  1. Log in to both your Shippo and Linnworks accounts.
  2. In Linnworks, navigate to Shipping > Integrations.

  1. Click + Add Integration.

  1. In the search bar, type "Shippo".
  2. Click Integrate once Shippo appears.

  1. Enter your Shippo API credentials.
  2. Confirm and save your integration settings by hitting “Next”.

  1. Click the "Click here" link to connect your account.

  1. Log in to Shippo and Approve Access for Linnworks.
  2. If you are not logged into your Shippo account, you will be greeted with the following screen, prompting you to create an account or log in:

  1. Click “Log in” and you’ll be redirected to the following screen, where you can log in to your Shippo account:

  1. Once you’ve logged in (or if you were logged in before clicking Next), you’ll be asked to approve access to Linnworks for your Shippo Account:

  1. Once you allow access, you will see a Success message

  1. Return to Linnworks, click Next, then Close to complete the setup.

 

Note:

For users with multiple warehouses, set up a separate integration for each warehouse with different sender addresses.


Configure Vendor Details in Linnworks

After integration, navigate to your vendor settings in Linnworks and adjust them as needed to align with your shipping sources and services.


Connect Carrier Accounts in Shippo

To use your own carrier accounts in Linnworks:

In Shippo Web App:

  1. Log in to Shippo.
  2. Navigate to the Carriers Page
  3. Click the Settings icon > Carriers.
  4. Click + Connect Carrier Account.
  5. Select a carrier and enter required information.
  6. Click Submit.
  7. Your carrier will appear under Your Accounts.

Back in Linnworks:

  1. Select shipping services (e.g., USPS, UPS).
  2. Type the service name and select from the dropdown menu.

  1. Click Add to include the service.

To enable Custom Declaration:

  • Click Edit beside the service > Enable Custom Declaration > Save.


Assign Shipping Services to Orders

Steps:

  1. Go to the Orders screen.

  1. Select your order.
  2. Right-click > Shipping > Change Service.
  3. Choose the appropriate Shippo service.


Add Extended Properties

Item Extended Properties:

  1. Go to the Orders screen > select an order.
  2. Click Items tab > select item.
  3. Click Extended Properties > + Add New.
  4. Enter property name and value > Save.

Order Extended Properties:

  1. Select an order.
  2. Click Properties > Edit Order (top right).
  3. Click Add Extended Properties.
  4. Set type to Attribute, enter name and value > Save.

View Available Mapped Properties

  1. Go to Shipping > Integrations.
  2. Click the three-dot action menu > Properties.
  3. View all mapped properties applicable to your orders.

Generate Quotes for Selected Services Only

  1. Select an order.
  2. Click QUOTE.
  3. Check "Quote only for added services" > Click OK.

Obtain Shipping Quotes

  1. With a selected order, click Get Quote.

  2. In the pop-up, click Run Quotes.
  3. Review and select your preferred shipping option.

To filter integrations:

  • Click Settings > double-click to exclude any integrations > click Back > rerun quotes.


Print & Download Labels

Print Shipping Labels:

  1. Select order > right-click > Print > Shipping Label.
  2. Download and print the PDF.

Download Labels:

  1. Click Jobs (bottom-right).

  1. Double-click the job > click Download File.


Cancel Shipping Labels

  1. Select order > Shipping > Cancel Label.


Create & Print Shipping Manifests

  1. Go to Shipping > Shipping Manifest.

  1. Click File Manifest > Manifest All.


 

  1. Click Print Manifest to print.

  Note: The "from_address" must match your Linnworks warehouse address exactly. Also, note that only certain carriers (e.g., USPS) support manifesting.

Tracking Shipments

  • Orders must be Processed for tracking to appear.
  • Use filters on the Processed Orders page to find your order.
  • View tracking number and clickable link once processed.

  • You’ll see the following screen - click “Process” to continue

  • Now, we’ll need to navigate to the Processed Orders screen. Using the toolbar on the left, click on Orders, then click Processed Orders. 

  • You’ll see the following screen - note that to get orders to populate, you’ll need to search based on a parameter. In the screenshot below, we’re using Order ID.

  • While the tracking number is present in this row, you can get the direct tracking link by selecting the Processed order, which will give you a more detailed view like the one below:


Returns 

Linnworks does not natively support return label creation. To generate a return label, please log in to your Shippo account and follow the return label guide here.


Billing

All billing for Shippo services, including shipping labels and subscription fees, is handled directly by Shippo, not Linnworks. You’ll be charged based on your monthly shipping volume, with plans starting at $19/month. For full details, see our pricing here: Shippo Subscription Plan Overview

There is no additional charge from Linnworks to use the Shippo integration. All billing, invoicing, and receipts will come directly from Shippo. If you’re new to Shippo, you’ll be prompted to choose a subscription plan during your onboarding process.

To access your billing and invoicing, log into the Shippo app > go to Settings > Account > Billing, and you’ll be able to download invoices, adjust payment methods, and see pending transactions.


Troubleshooting

Common Issues

Issue Fix
Label not generating Ensure weight/dimensions are set and service matches shipment details.
No shipping quote Confirm full destination address + valid API key. For US, populate the "County/Region" field with the origin state. Ensure Shippo "Sender Details" are complete.
Service unavailable Verify service compatibility with destination.
Manifest issues Confirm from_address in Shippo matches warehouse address exactly.
