Using tags to manage your orders is easy in Shippo! This article guides you through creating, adding, editing, viewing, filtering, and automating tags.
This feature makes performing bulk actions like bulk-editing orders and bulk-purchasing labels easier. It also allows you to filter orders and differentiate specific groups of customers quickly.
Create a New Tag
To create a new tag on the Settings Page:
- Visit the Tags tab
- Click the Create Tag + button
- Select the icon you would like to use to tag a specific set of orders and enter a tag name
- Click the Save button
To create a new tag on the Orders Page:
- Visit the Orders page
- Hover or click on the + button found in the Tags column of the order
- Select + New tag

How to Add, Remove, and Edit Tags
To add a tag to an order in Shippo:
- Visit the Orders page
- Click the + icon found in the Tags column
- Select the tag you would like to apply to the order

To add a tag to multiple orders in Shippo:
- Visit the Orders page
- Select your orders by checking the box on the left side of each order
- Click Tag found in the top navigation bar
- Select the tag you would like to apply to the selected orders
To delete or edit a tag in Shippo:
- From the Settings page, visit the Tags tab

If you would like to delete a tag
- Click the trash icon to the right of the tag name

If you would like to edit a tag
- Select a new icon or enter a new tag name, and the change will automatically be saved.

How to Filter Orders by Tags
To filter your orders by tags:
- Visit the Orders page
- From the top navigation bar, click Tags
- Select your tags by checking the box on the left side
- Click Apply

How to Use Automations with Tags
To create an automation rule on the Settings page:
- Visit the Automations tab
- Click Create New Rule
- Select an “If” property for which orders your rule should apply to
- Select the “Assign tag” action to your automation rule and select the correct tag
- Give your Automation Rule a name (required)
- Click Save Rule
- Click Run Automations
