How to Use Shippo Estimate

Shippo Estimate is a feature that helps you ship smarter and set clear expectations with your customers. When buying a label, you’ll see clear, estimated delivery dates alongside each service level—helping you confidently balance speed and cost, eliminate the guesswork, and reduce “Where’s my order?” questions.

Our estimated delivery dates are powered by AI trained on millions of real deliveries to give you an accurate view of when your package will arrive.

How Shippo Estimate Works

Shippo Estimate is built into your workflow and appears automatically when you compare carrier rates. You can access it in two places: the Order Details page and the Orders Side Panel.
 

Order Details Page

  1. Visit the Orders page.
  2. Click “View Order” next to the order you want to create a label for.
  3. Enter shipment details.
  4. In the Rates section, you’ll see a Shippo Estimate for each available service level, shown with a calendar icon and delivery date.

Orders Side Panel

  1. Visit the Orders page.
  2. Click on an order to open the Orders Side Panel on the right-hand side.
  3. Enter shipment details.
  4. In the Rates section, you’ll see a Shippo Estimate for each available service level, shown with a calendar icon and delivery date.

Whether you’re in the Order Details page or the Orders Side Panel, you can compare the estimated delivery dates for supported service levels—making it easy to balance speed and price.

  Note: The estimated delivery date for each service is not guaranteed. Only certain service levels include a money-back guarantee, and refund approvals are made solely at the discretion of the selected carrier.

Q: Is this a guarantee?
A: No. Shippo Estimates are data-driven predictions, not guarantees. 

Q: Where will I see it?
A: Shippo Estimate appears in the Web App when rate shopping. It will be shown on the Orders Side Panel and Order Details pages.

Q: Will this slow down my workflow?
A: No. Predictions load instantly with carrier rates.

Q: What happens if Shippo Estimate is temporarily unavailable?
A: If the service is temporarily unavailable, you’ll see the standard transit day estimates provided directly by carriers.
