Refunds may be requested either from the Orders Page or the Shipments Page. Please follow the steps below to request a refund for an unused label in Shippo.
From the Orders Page:
- Go to your Orders Page and click the drop-down menu next to the Fulfilled button.
- Choose the Refund Label option.
- Click the Yes, request refund button in the pop-up window. You will no longer have access to this label once you click Refund Label.
Note: If you have purchased more than one label for an order, please choose the appropriate label you wish to refund from the pop-up window by clicking Refund Label.
From the Shipments Page:
- Go to your Shipments Page and click the drop-down menu next to the blue Download button.
- Choose the Refund Label option.
- Confirm that you'd like to request a refund. You will no longer have access to this label once you click Refund Label.
Refund requests are processed 14 business days after the shipment date on the label provided the label has not been used. We will apply your credit to your next Shippo invoice which you can download on your Billing tab under Past Invoices.
Note: We will refund you the equivalent credit in your Shippo account which you can use towards creating future labels—it will not be refunded to your original payment method.
To see a refund that has been processed but not yet applied to an invoice, please click on the View Unbilled Items link on the Billing tab. Navigate to the Billing tab by clicking on Settings and then Account on the left navigation panel. Then, click on Billing along the top menu.
Note:
-
Shippo will automatically refund unused USPS labels after 30 days if you have not already requested a refund. The credit will apply to your Shippo account as explained above. For all other carriers, you must request a refund on either the Orders or Shipments Page.
-
When using your own carrier account in Shippo, you must contact the carrier to request a refund for the shipping rate. Requesting a refund in Shippo will refund only any optional insurance purchased and any applicable label creation fees based on your Shippo plan. Some carriers, like FedEx, don't charge until a label is used. But others, like UPS and Canada Post, charge either at the time of purchase or on a payment schedule.
